Four unforgettable days of theater, creativity, and community in Burbank, right in the heart of the Los Angeles entertainment industry.
Broadway Weekends is back in Los Angeles for a second summer, bringing our signature adult theater camp to the West Coast with immersive workshops in acting, singing, dance, and performance, led by Broadway artists who now call LA home. Last summer's line-up included Carmen Cusack (Tony nominee), Jared Gertner (Olivier nominee), Cedric Dodd (Worldwide Associate, The Great Gatsby) and Gregory Butler (Worldwide Associate, Chicago).
Whether you're a professional performer, a theater educator, a lifelong theater lover, or someone discovering your creative side, you belong in this room.

You won't spend four days sitting in lectures about theater. You'll be doing theater.
Our workshops are designed to feel like the energy of a professional rehearsal room: collaborative, hands-on, challenging, playful, and rooted in the actual craft.
CenterStaging Studios · Burbank, CA
Thursday to Sunday | 10:00am - 6:30pm
Your four days end with a showcase for family and friends in the studio at CenterStaging, streamed live via Zoom so loved ones anywhere can cheer you on. The perfect finale to your LA getaway!
Every camp is shaped by the artists teaching it and the theater landscape happening around us.
Theater is rarely a solo sport. Build something together, learn how to listen, support, respond, and make the people around you better.
Strengthen your voice with practical tools you can take straight into your next rehearsal, audition, classroom, or shower.
Get inside the scene. Work with text, character, relationships, objectives, and all the beautiful mess in between.
Go beyond singing the right notes. Explore intention, storytelling, character, text, and the choices that turn a song into a performance.
Learn choreography from a Broadway show, taught by an artist who knows it from the inside. Dance classes are split by confidence level.
Broadway Weekends started with a simple idea: bring adults who love theater into the room with the people who make it.
In New York, that means Broadway.
In Los Angeles, it means something a little different.
It means artists who move between theater, film, television, concerts, dance, voiceover, and all the wonderfully strange corners of the entertainment industry. It means Broadway artists who now call the West Coast home. It means a creative community with its own rhythm, its own stories, and its own way of making work.

There's a particular kind of creative energy in Los Angeles.
It's a city where a performer can spend the morning in a dance studio, the afternoon on a soundstage, the evening at a theater and somehow still have a rehearsal tomorrow.
It's also home to an enormous community of theater artists who have brought their experience west.
That's the community we're tapping into.
Carmen Cusack is an acclaimed American musical theater actress and singer best known for her Tony-nominated Broadway debut in Bright Star and for Flying Over Sunset, where she received her second Tony nomination.
She has an extensive career, including roles in the National Tours of Wicked and South Pacific, as well as West End roles in Les Misérables and The Secret Garden.
CenterStaging is in Burbank, in the San Fernando Valley. We recommend staying in Burbank, Toluca Lake, or Studio City so your morning commute is short - LA distances can be deceptive.
Do you have hotel recommendations?
Marriott Burbank Airport
Flexible rates are always a smart idea, but unlike our NYC winter camp there's no storm backup weekend - your dates are set.
Summer is busy in LA, so we recommend booking your stay as soon as you register.
Either works! Airbnb can be more affordable, especially for the longer 5-Day camp. A hotel is simpler if this is your first time in the city.
Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR) is just minutes from CenterStaging and the easiest option by far. LAX has more flights, but plan for a much longer drive to Burbank.
LA is a driving city, so a car gives you the most freedom to explore after camp. If you’re staying close to the studio, like at the recommended Marriott hotel, the studio is a short walk or rideshare There is plenty of parking at CenterStaging.
Camp starts at 10:00am - plan to arrive 10-15 minutes early, and give yourself extra time for LA traffic.
Plenty of our campers travel solo. Burbank is a relaxed, easy-going part of LA - stick to well-lit, busy areas, keep your valuables secure, and take a rideshare at night if you're ever unsure.
Plan for meals, getting around (car rental or rideshares), and any extras - a studio tour, a beach day, or a night at the theater.
Comfortable, move-friendly clothing - think what you'd wear to a dance or theater class. Bring layers: it can be hot outside and cool in air-conditioned studios.
Summers in the Valley are hot and sunny. Pack light, breathable clothing, sunscreen, and a refillable water bottle.
Anything you like - wear something that makes you feel like a star!

You don't have to live in New York to train with Broadway artists. You don't have to be a professional to take your craft seriously. And you definitely don't have to wait for someone to give you permission to spend four days doing nothing but theater.
Come to LA.
